On 23.01.2014 in the office of the organization "UNICEF" and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs was held a successful workshop on the draft model assessment for additional educational, health and social support for children. The workshop was attended by several experts and active members of categorization committees of Bitola and Skopje, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Affairs, Association of Special Educators Macedonia and other stakeholders in this process. There were presented experiences from the work of professional bodies operating assessment in the EU. Despite that there’s this long standing experience of over 40 years that is practiced in our state with success in the so-called medical model. We are seeking ways and means of implementing all positive experiences reflected in our conditions which are burdened with the existing situation, looking for ways to carefully implement the EU experience in our conditions without destroying the complete infrastructure and to deliver functional assessment that will adapt or adjust to the maximum institutional conditions in our process after gradual transformation.
These and such considerations were the starting point at which representatives of the ministries in cooperation with "UNICEF" will have to be developed gradually and within a reasonable time as the proposed legal solution. The elaboration of the ideas and methods that capture time and who is most responsible, our thoughts are all responsible and everyone has done their part of assessing quality, professional and responsible, at the right time and place is a real chance or support, the needs of people with disabilities or with special needs or in terms practiced in the international community, and we will adapt gradually entering into membership of the EU. In any case, the exchange of opinions is a very positive step, especially compliance with considerations of disability associations and alliances and how you can help in shaping the final document.
