Triumph in Resen: Successfully performed the monodrama "My Prespa! My Resen! My fate! "By Sotir Chaushevski
As part of the festival "Actor of Europe" in Resen, last night (July 8) was successfully performed the monodrama "My Prespa! My Resen! My Destiny ", starring Marija Kondovska and directed by our member Sotir Chaushevski. The author of the monodrama is the famous Kata Misirkova - Rumenova and adaptation of text was made by Ophelia Bogoevska. The extraordinary scenery complemented by audio-visual effects and music by Tony Karapanchevski, captured the scene in a cemetery on which the plot situated in the period after World War II, telling the events of a family of Prespa, disassociated from native land and scattered around the world. Next to the tomb of her mother, the protagonist mourns the unfortunate fate of his brothers. The great transformation and sensitivity transfered us to another time, revealing the great love for the country and calling for a return to the homeland.
About 400 visitors attended this monodrama rewarding it with huge applause and media describing it as a "cradle of Resen theater." Among the many citizens and foreign guests was the complete set of the local government led by the Mayor of Resen, Mr. Djoko Strezovski and president of the council, as well as the famous playwright and diplomat Jordan Plevnesh.
The presence of representatives of "Mobility Bitola" was used for contacts and contracts for the following events that are planned in the coming months. It was given great support to all of our efforts to achieve program and statutory objectives. After the show was done, we did interviews with the young actress and the director. Marija Kondovska just finished high school and she’s about to decide where to upgrade her knowledge. Until now, she had multiple roles in various plays, and yet this is the most precious and certainly the most difficult. Sotir Chaushevski, however, is an engineer who has always had a dream to be a director, and that dream has been realized so far only 70 times. This monodrama is certainly his dearest and most severe since it was performed in front of his citizens in Resen. Visibly excited, Sotir was overjoyed to receive our support in these moments and revealed that part of the project "We are part of you" on "Mobility Bitola" explores the idea of a play designed for people with physical disability titled "To be different". Needless to say that he will allways have our support and we hope that the future will witness more such great events.
