The relationship with the community

Many of our members have a dream. The dream is very difficult, and sometimes it is not at all accomplished. Vasil Jankula is a person with physical disabilities, member of Mobility Bitola from Resen. His condition is cerebral palsy, for many an inability to perform even the elementary physiological needs. But that does not apply to Vasil. He overcomes his handicap with great perseverance, exercises, will and vision that luckily manages to realize it. His latest vision was a tour of most of Macedonia (Resen, Bitola, Prilep, Veles, Skopje, Tetovo, Gostivar, Debar, Struga and Ohrid). With the help of his trainer, this vision was realized, including the Galichica tours and the Ohrid Marathon (see the article "Heart of Steel" in the journal "Mobility", No. 92). With the help and support of UNDP, this vision is realized and we hope that the community will be able to support the visions of its fellow citizens with disabilities and work for their success to become a success for all of us. To accomplish these efforts, not only laws and by-laws are needed but the real desire and will of the others to recognize the value that is universal and human, and comes from the heart. Written regulations are only alibi if only a blank letter is left on paper. Vasil Jankula is not one, he is many with us, whitin us and around us. Let’s change the relationship with the comunity in continuity, persistently, firmly and with confidence in the correctness of the goals that radiate with humanity. Human, how proud it sounds.
