Although at a slower pace, the project “Alter Trip” is moving. After the selection of the project manager and technical person, an expert commission was formed, consisting of three university professors - evaluators, who after reviewing the documentation of the applicants and scoring according to the established sequence of events, selected and proposed to the President the candidate for the first tender of the project. IPA Programs have a complex procedure for events and paperwork in English, with rigid chronology and procedures. The required parameters are strict and decisive, and the evaluators are required to be short, clear and understandable the in evaluation of the submitted documentation and candidates. Despite the delay of the project registration process in the Secretariat for European Affairs at the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, which is only the first step in the procedure (followed by the PRO and the Ministry of Local Self-Government), the project is moving. We are in constant communication with our partners from Greece and the assigned project officer of the Joint Secretariat in Thessaloniki. We hope that the next steps will be faster and more efficient, so that we have the first results of the project as soon as possible.
