On September 23, 2021 in the hotel "Epinal" was held a workshop covering the work of the Association of Local Self-Government Units (ZELS) and the Municipality of Bitola, with the support of GIZ (German Corporation for International Cooperation) and NALAS (Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South East Europe). Generally, all aspects of people with disabilities are covered in all areas of life (home, environment, education, workplace, family, etc.). The problem and the special condition of people with visual impairments, hearing, mental sphere and mobility - physical disability (social mapping, detection, recording, needs, opportunities, strategy and vision) are reviewed. Our member Fance Georgievska, who is always part of such events organized by the local self-government, sharing our experiences and suggestions and contributing to more positive results in the realization and implementation of the goals, actively participated in this workshop. We hope that the conclusions and guidelines will find appropriate and useful application in the time to come. All participants in their impressions stated that the chosen path is right and that it is the turn of the local government unit to apply the given directions and conclusions, so that the started process, step by step, begins to solve a troublesome problem that has been going on for several decades, despite numerous declarations and conventions. Time will tell what will be.
