On December 5, 2019, organized by the Resource Center of the Association of the Blind in Bitola, an informative meeting was held with the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Mila Carovska on the applicability of the Law on Social Protection with special emphasis on personal assistance, care, assistance, mobility, and so on. The meeting was intended to gather disability organizations' views on the law (remarks and dilemmas). Following the brief introduction, Minister Carovska stressed that the current project will be replaced by a law from January 1, 2020, with all the repercussions on the law. There was also talk of care and assistance that should be graded and that the solutions so far are not the happiest choice, but are left to be fair. The discussion was mostly attended by the Association of the Blind, but there were useful observations and conclusions from the Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities and the Association of the Deaf.
