In recent months, with delays due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the project forum has held five sessions and ended with a vote on the best projects. Supporters of these forum sessions are the Municipality of Bitola, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and Empowering Municipal Councils, and the goal is to strengthen the municipality. Mobility Bitola has been an active member for many years and contributes to the work of the forum.
This time several projects were discussed, and the funds for implementation were provided by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. During the work and evaluation of the most acceptable project there were criteria that cover practically all areas of the needs of people with disabilities. From the seven submitted projects, two were selected by the very end of the fifth forum session: Urban Mobility - vehicles for people with disabilities and Inclusive classrooms and playgrounds in schools and kindergartens. Our members Fanche and Lidija were more than active with their discussions, comments and suggestions. Otherwise, the other projects were: Multifunctional Urban Center, Physical Accessibility to Buildings, Montessori Classroom and Hall for Corrective and Preventive Exercises, Involvement in Cultural Flows of Persons with Disabilities and Shelter for Children at Risk and Child Victims.
This way of working and communication, we hope, will give a favorable climate in solving this problem, and direct and indirect assistance from European institutions is welcome in building favorable perceptions of our institutions at the local and state level, as well as the community in general. The activities follow.
