"Mobility Bitola" at an educational workshop on addictions in everyday life

In the organization of the Municipal Council for Social Protection - Bitola and the Association for Support and Development "Humanost" from Skopje, on December 10, 2021, an online educational workshop was held on the topic "Addictions in everyday life - a pill against headache or addiction - how to recognize and help." The workshop was within the framework of the activities "Consulting services for the needs of local municipal councils", financially supported by the municipality of Bitola, and was led by Jana Janeva, a social worker from "Humanost". The purpose of the workshop was to raise awareness about the use of headache pills, as opposed to the causes of headache, familiarization with the ways in which addiction can be recognized and the way to deal with addiction. Our member Fanche Georgievska participated as a representative of "Mobility Bitola", and shared her own and the experiences of people with disabilities in the use of headache pills, stressing that for this group of citizens the need for any medication is real and it is rarely a question of addiction, i.e. that placebo effects (when the patient believes that there is an improvement after medical treatment/therapy, although instead of a certain drug, he unknowingly drank, for example, an ordinary vitamin) are less common. The participation of our members in such events is of great importance, because they make a huge contribution to raising public awareness of the challenges and problems we face every day. Activities continue.
