Pursuing its programmatic and statutory goals, Mobility Bitola constantly strives to improve and strengthen cooperation with national institutions, and the latest in the series is the National Institution - University Library "St. Clement of Ohrid" - Bitola. Founded way back in 1945 as the City Public Library, this institution is part of the core of the cultural life of the people of Bitola, and in the past two decades, it has been one of the most accessible cultural and educational facilities in the city. That is why, on March 11, 2024, at the initiative of our member Biljana Todorovska, the president of Mobility Bitola prim. Dr. Niko Jankov and the director of NUUB "St. Clement of Ohrid" - Bitola M.A. Bojan Stefanovski signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which will contribute to the mutual enrichment of contents and activities. With this Memorandum, the two signatory parties will strive to achieve several goals, such as: mutual exchange of information, knowledge and experiences in the field of education and culture; participation, cooperation and implementation of joint projects, celebration of important events through the organization of workshops, lectures, tribunes, promotions, etc.; forming a book club or discussion group that focuses on literature related to disability, inclusion and empowerment; talks and presentations by authors; inviting authors who have written about disability or have personal experiences to share their stories and insights; arts and crafts workshops, promoting creativity and self-expression; storytime classes for children that focus on themes of inclusivity, diversity and acceptance; storytelling sessions – where people with physical disabilities can share their stories and experiences, and other activities. What is most important for the members of Mobility Bitola is that with this Memorandum they are freed from paying an annual membership fee, that is, they can use the services of the library for free and can become a member only by presenting the membership card of the association and an ID card. We hope that this initiative is just the beginning of a new story and that together we will write hundreds of pages with positive examples for all of us. Activities continue.
