On April 29, 2014 in Resen was successfully conducted an educational workshop on " We are part of you too " . After two months of preparation and organizational details, the working group made up of an informal group of people who gave the initiative and the support of local government, primarily the mayor of Resen - Mr. G joko Strezovski, provided all prerequisites, prepare d posters and flyers with invitations and program. After consultations with the expert team for the project, Mobility Bitola finali sed this truly significant event. The very first event was an exhibit of photos and artifacts from people with disabilities, held at the House of Culture "D ragi Tozija" starting at 11 pm. The exhibition was launched in a pleasant atmosphere and among those present were a number of persons with disabilities and other children. The matter of images include d parts of life of persons with disabilities and the coexistence with their peers. The d irector of the House of Culture , Vasko Vasilevski expressed a high degree of solidarity and cooperation of any kind without a time limit. This is a great commitment and expresses the highest level of humanity and understanding. The presence of more than a hundred people with disabilities, their parents and teachers, and representatives of the initiators Mobility Bitola , Mr. Vasilevski opened the exhibition expressing the most positive opinions about the exhibits .
The event continued in the sports hall and there were about six hundred present , most of the younger generation from 14 to 18 years or young at the time of the formation of personality. The event began with opening remarks by the mayor and sponsor of the event, Mr. Djoko Strezovski, who in his address expressed his commitment to maximum cooperation with organizations of persons with disabilities and all NGOs working on capacity building, establishment and their maximum use of resources to local governments. He also pledged to consult with the destruction of architectural barriers and all other issues related to the inclusion of persons with disabilities, the application of the provisions of the UN Convention and employment of persons with disabilities in local government.
As an introduction to the topic, Dr. Nico Yankov explained the current situation and desirable courses of action for all stakeholders in the process of changing attitudes of the younger generation in relation to persons with disabilities. Then, Dr. Sanja Andonovska briefly explain ed the medical aspect of disability and ways of action. MA Nikolco Ristovski talked about the problems and the key to solving them and prof. Dr. Igor Nedelkovski effectively explained the information technology for persons with disabilities show ing numerous photographs and aid devices . Dr. Saso Kochankovski acquainted us with the psychological aspects and Mitko Fidanovski with discrimination through law. At the end, Branimir Jovanovski talked about famous people with disabilities (athletes, politicians, scientists, artists, etc.). Among the presentations were shown several video clips with themes of life of persons with disabilities worldwide. The audience had a chance to meet the first paralympians holders of Olympic gold medals in Barcelona in 1992 (Branimir Jovanovski) and London 2012 (Olivera Nakovska - Bikova). It is a g reat pleasure that these people celebrate the country's name .
All presentations left a strong impression on the audience, especially the audiovisual effects. T his was indeed a very successful workshop paving the way for future activities that will occur with smaller groups of the target population. Throughout the event the "actors" were announce d by Sot ir C h ausevski. The event fully met the expectations and the working group met again to arrange the following activities.
From the very beginning until the end , the event was covered by the media including MRT nationwide and " Terra " at regional level. We hope that the positive effects of this workshop will be high and it will encourage thinking to generalize the entire territory of the Republic of Macedonia.
