"Mobility Bitola" once again organized an excursion in the immediate environment. The September 13, 2014 members of our Association visited several locations near Demir Hisar, including Stevan Stepanovski’s library in the village Babino and the tomb of the great Macedonian literature Petre M. Andreevski in the village Sloeshtica.
On a clear, sunny weather, early in the morning the members of Resen joined us, thus completing the caravan of eight cars headed to Babino. Traveling through the beautiful nature, we arrived in Babino around 10 am. Stevan welcomed us and showed us the house, the amphitheater and the courtyard in Macedonian ambient style. We visited this cultural monument before the arrival of several buses with visitors from other cities, and then we headed to Sloeshtica and the tomb of Petre M. Andreevski, where our member Kire Ognenovski said a few words about the famous author. Once we lit candles in the church St. Athanasius, we headed towards the monastery of St. John the Baptist in the village Slepche. Here, in the cradle of Slavic literacy and famous Slepche School which was practically University of literacy in the 10th century, we could feel the breath of history and the past centuries. We perpetuate these shared moments with photography and then we headed to lunch.
"Mobility Bitola" will continue with this practice of socializing and educational excursions that will leave lasting mark and further engaging in such events.
