Meeting with the most renowned NGO from Israel

On 26 and 27 September, we had the pleasure of getting to know the most prominent organizations that provide support for persons with disabilities in Israel, SHEKEL and MASHAV. At the donors' conference in the University Library “St. Kliment Ohridski”, we met the representatives of these organizations - Ms Suzanne Guy, director of the Centre for Cooperation and Advancement - MASHAV, Mr. Amir Goichman, project manager (MASHAV) and Miki Arnon, director, educator and trainer in SHEKEL, as well as the Ambassador of Israel in Macedonia, his Excellency Mr. Dan Orian.
At the conference was presented the book "When Dad will grow up", whose author is the Ambassador Orian, and in cooperation with the University Library "St. Kliment Ohridski ", all funds collected from the sale will be used to build a ramp in the special school "George Sougarev".
Taking a word, the president of "Mobility Bitola", prim. Dr. Niko Jankov, outlined the longstanding efforts of "Mobility Macedonia" and NCDOM for implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and their inclusion in the community. Afterwards, we arranged a meeting for active cooperation with the organization MASHAV.
The meeting with Mrs. Guy and Mr. Goichman was held the next day, September 27th, at the Clinical Hospital in Bitola, and alongside the president of "Mobility Bitola", was Ivona Jankova as a translator and contact person. Both sides presented their work, promotional materials (leaflets, posters) of our workshops, events and international projects with support from USAID, UNDP, EU, as well as several numbers of our newspaper "Mobility".
Our friends and collaborators assured us that after receiving all the information from the PADOR database, we will discuss specific actions for projects. Our collaboration may include a visit to Israel and the training centers for persons with disabilities and trainers for support. Our work continues!
