On June 27, 2024, in the premises of the Rectorate of the University "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Bitola (UKLO) at the Faculty of Law in Bitola, a workshop entitled "From networking to partnership" was held. The organizer is UKLO, which is among (so far) the nine universities of the European Alliance of Regional Universities. The main activity is through networking and building partnership relations with civil society organizations from the community, to jointly participate in the advanced creation of social, green and digital transition. UKLO is the first Macedonian university included in KOLORS (Collaborative Innovative Sustainable Regional Universities). The Alliance is paving the way for the transformation of universities and regions, and in addition to our country, it also includes: Italy, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Croatia, Poland, France and Latvia. The transformation methodology is by opening the university to the business community, civil society and the state according to the principle of four helixes. Center for network connections and use of the so-called. co-space or shared space for solving current problems of our living. All relations rise to the level of the alliance, which will enable a platform and mutual progress at the European level. This is the first phase with which we formalize our joint UKLO partnership. By the way, after the registration of the attendees, the event was opened and greeted by the Rector of UKLO Prof. Dr. Igor Nedelkovski, while the COLORS project was presented by the academic head of the project, Assoc. prof. Dr. Renata Petreska Nechkovska. Students from UKLO shared previous experiences related to volunteering in the civil sector, and the Vice-Rector of UKLO prof. Dr. Jasmina Bunevska Talevska spoke about the previous experience and activities of UKLO in the direction of cooperation with the civil sector. The "shared space" office was presented by prof. Dr. Mimoza Bogdanoska Jovanovska, appointed as Co-space Officer, who was also the moderator of the event. Among those present were about 40 representatives of civil society organizations from various profiles, who during the presentation expressed their previous experiences and visions for further cooperation, and the rector's administration, professors and students cooperation in networking and partnership by using all the resources of UKLO in terms of the opening of the university to the community. The use of space services, professional assistance, organization, etc. is particularly important here. The networking of the Macedonian Scientific Society from Bitola with its human resources of 320 doctors and masters of science and related to MANU is also to be welcomed. Mobility Bitola has been using the services of MSC for 30 years. Of course, this is the first step and in the fall, after we express our ideas in writing, we will start in this innovative space from September with the help of KOLORS and the EU funds for this purpose. A truly refreshing and hopeful event and base for creative thinking on problem solving and networking to partnership. We go further.
